Covington has been fairly quiet this year in the show ring due to Heidi's back which ultimately required surgery this April. We apologies for our not responding to the many phone calls & e-mails inquiring about our dogs in the recent past. We are getting back on our feet, at a slow pace, and looking forward to things getting back to normal soon. Although we can't hit the show rings just yet, we are getting back into working order here at Covington & invite you to get in touch regarding our dogs, stud services & puppies.

Celebrating our Veterans. I think 2010 is going to be Covington's year to celebrate veterans. As Heidi has been recovering from spinal fusion surgery, April 21, 2010, and taking the time to really enjoy the fruits of our labor, the biggest impact has been watching our veterans living such happy healthy active lives. They take a back seat when focus is on raising the next show puppy & traveling to shows but at the end of the day, what has made the biggest impact on our work, over and above any ribbons or recognition, is watching our oldies stay young & healthy with 12 year olds keeping up with 5 year olds. WHAT A DELIGHT!!

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our newest UK import, Rosscrea Tarantino. Eng. Ch. Pascavale Jamie X Rosscrea Yours Truly. "Quinn" made the trip without a hitch and completely unphased, a tribute to his text book Cavalier temperament. Once again we acknowledge the great fortune we have with the addition of such instrumental dogs from our friend Wendy Taylor. We are excited about the future with another Rosscrea on board.
November 13th, 2008 - A Tribute To Lilly

Lilly at 6 months old at the 2004 ACKCSC National Specialty
|
Many of you knew our Lilly Bean, defying the odd's, hand raised from the age of 2 weeks old. Faced with many challanges & learning disabilities, we didn't think she would live to be a year old. Today, just 2 weeks short of her 5th birthday, Lilly crossed over the rainbow bridge. We remember well, just a day over the qualifying age of 6 months, Lilly made, what we knew would be her one & only public appearance, and was shown by Greg at the ACKCSC National, held in Seattle, May 2004. She was very tiny with lots of fluffy coat & at the top of the 'Cute Meter" we couldn't resist, nor could Puppy Sweeps Judge that year, Cindy Huggins. Lilly won, what I suspect was a complimentary 4th place for heart & cuteness a large national puppy sweeps class. Lilly had the heart of a true Champion and she thought she showed like one too. She had a huge ovation from the crowd when she went around the ring, lead by our very own Katie Eldred, front row ring side. She met many new friends that weekend & if you didn't come to meet her, she'd come and introduce herself to you. No-one knew Lilly's story that weekend, little miracles are all around us. This was a special weekend for Greg & I and made Lilly's short but very happy life just that much more enriched. Thank you everyone that had shared in making all of Lilly's life worth living.
